The Shoot Captain! Manages every peg to keep “Hull” ahead of the game. Purchases keenly to ensure we sell at the right price. Liaises with design engineers to keep the Weihrauch range fresh and innovative. UK board Director of AFEMS to helping to protect the future of our sport.

When he’s not at his desk… He’s on the moor field testing the product.

Favourite Cartridges: Sovereign 28gm 8s,  Driven Grouse 28gm 6s, High Pheasant Extreme 32gm 5 – drop them dead.

Likes: “Counting the Bag!” Grouse, high pheasants, Rioja… not at the same time.

Dislikes: Bank holidays, disobedient dogs, starched collars.

Susan will ensure your account is handled efficiently from behind the scenes.  She keeps a watchful eye on the Company’s direction – marketing and media are her bag.

When she’s not at her desk… She’s finally taking time out to travel, practice on clays and enjoying the odd game day with old friends.

Favourite Cartridges:  Pro Ones for clays, Hard to choose now between High Pheasant Extreme 20s and Driven Grouse 20 for game – confidence in the field!

Likes: Sporting clays, partridges, smooth cartridges. Kodaline- it’s not a drug!

Dislikes: Poor service, plagiarism and heights.

Heading up a highly skilled, enthusiastic team, Fadi is our driving force in ballistics. Taking advantage of our investment in state of the art machinery over the past few years, Fadi and his technical team maintain their innovative approach to meet the challenges a switch to lead free alternative specifications will bring. The Directors are confident that under his meticulous, hands on leadership, the Hull brand will remain the primary choice for the competitive and discerning shot.

When he’s not at his desk  . . . He’s thinking about work! Breaking the odd clay and taxiing his girls around.

Favourite cartridge – With a broad spectrum of specifications I couldn’t pick just one! – They’re all winners in their field.

Likes . . . A design project, teamwork, Hull FC rugby.

Dislikes . . . Excessive ballistics pressure and recoil. Dumplings.

She’s David’s daughter, the fourth generation of Bontoft to join, continuing the family tradition of cartridge making excellence. Mostly behind the scenes, Faye controls component purchasing and oversees the all important Health and Safety regulations and their implementation.

When she’s not at her desk… she’s on the school run, dusting driven clays on a North Yorkshire simo, or on a family game day.

Favourite Cartridges: Pro 20 21gm – Performance not pressure. High Pheasant 20s – when I get the chance!

Likes: a corridor free of obstructions, charity corporate clays, cosmopolitan cocktails.

Dislikes: Slips, trips and falls, spiders and custard.

Running through the figures and balancing the books, Paul is also our IT specialist. Behind every successful business is a great accountant.

When he’s not at his desk… Never happier than when surrounded by stage lights, microphones, mixing desks and loads of cables.

Likes: Food – all varieties, N gauge model railways and having control of the TV remote.

Dislikes: Computers that take forever to start up and people who don’t like dogs.

Newley appointed as Head of Sales. Sam will now be visiting trade customers to put a face to a name. With 12 years of experience, working in the Hull Cartridge Sales Department he’s sure to get off to a flying start.

When he’s not at his desk… he’s practising clays or game shooting.

Favourite Cartridges: Competition: Pro One & Sporting 100. Game Shooting: High Pheasant Extreme.

Favourite Air Rifle: HW80. “I was born in the 80s.”

Likes: Flushes, football, French cuisine.

Dislikes: Less than full pallet orders.

…Lynn has everything in control.  She ensures the components roll in and the containers roll out.  Export customers? – Lynn will manage your order through pricing, production to the point of delivery.  For export events she makes sure we make an exhibition of ourselves in the nicest possible way. In her HR role Lynn ensures we find exceptional people to join our Team and looks after our general well-being.

When she’s not at her desk… she’s thrashing Kevin or Sam on the squash courts.

Favourite Cartridge: Comp X 21 – ideal for novices like me.

Likes: Charity corporate flushes, walking “Izzy” the Boxer on the beach, full bodied reds.

Dislikes: Ferry disruptions, felines.

Isabel is David’s youngest daughter. She’s here to bring fresh and innovative ideas to HCC’s marketing department. Her sights are on Hull’s Weihrauch range creating marketing campaigns, adverts and a new internet platform as well as keeping you all bang up to date on social media.

When she’s not at her desk…she’s practising on clays and tackling her new garden.

Likes: Mind maps, dry weekends for game fairs and glossy shooting magazines.

Dislikes: Cliché slogans.

Senior member of the sales team, Kevin certainly knows his Sovereigns from his springers. With over 40 years service Kevin will make sure you up to date with new products, give you the keenest prices and ensure your pallet’s there tomorrow.

When he’s not at his desk… he’s on the sidelines at North Ferriby amateur football club (Ladies!)

Likes: Efficient deliveries, full pallets, ice hockey and squash (not orange).

Amanda is quickly establishing herself as a product guru. Time spent studying shooting means that you’ll definitely get the right product that will fly off the shelves.

When she’s not at her desk… She’s cruising the open road on her Motorbike.

Favourite Cartridge: New to shooting Amanda has started on our 21gm Comp X  – perfect ladies training load!

Likes: Camping and outdoor activities. Love the sunshine and an ice cold pink gin.

Dislikes: Queues, winter and losing (“I’m very competitive”).

The owner of a HW97 before he joined the company, Chris knows first hand the performance and reliability of the Weihrauch brand. With such a comprehensive range Chris has shot them all and can offer expert advice.

When he’s not at his desk… He’s at your open day or butchering and barbequing his self stalked dinner

Favourite Cartridges: Superfast – it cycles my auto, awesome! Special Pigeon 32gm 6.

Favourite Air Rifle – HW100 Bullpup – A  welcome addition to the range, compact, shoulders well, ideal for ratting.

Likes: Stalking, pigeon shooting, clay shooting, game shooting – yes you’ve guessed it shooting in general – oh and detailing cars.

Dislikes: Packing the van following a game fair and putting his game gun away at the end of the day.

Likes: Sport, going for walks in the countryside, concerts and supporting Sunderland AFC (someone has to).

Dislikes: Conceding when playing in goal on a weekend and Unstirred Coffee.

Inspired by his love of vintage Marvel comics Tom is our own number crunching super hero. Whether its spotting trends in up and coming products or calculating the next Weihrauch Airgun order, Tom’s office is the hub of all Hull Cartridge product data.

When he’s not at his desk… he’s training for his next marathon run!

Likes: Neat Excel Spreadsheets, Pie Charts,  Spiderman and Batman.

Favourite air rifle: “I must say the HW110 is phenomenal.”

Dislikes: Misquoted product codes, missing clays behind.

Working closely with the Marketing Department creating visual concepts, graphics and branding materials for the print and digital media.

Daniella’s design flair covers every aspect from the custom printing of your personalised cartridges to how we present ourselves at major exhibitions both here in the UK and abroad.

When she’s not at her desk. . . she’s tackling DIY projects.

Likes:  Your logos in high res, preferably vectored. Skiing, hot beaches and her pedigree cats.

Dislikes: Pixelated images and the English weather.

Protecting our blue chip customer status, Janet processes our purchase transactions and ensures all our suppliers are paid to terms.

When she’s not at her desk… she’s our Mary Berry producing delicious home bakes, spending time with the grandchildren.

Likes: Your quotations on file, Border terriers and a good crossword puzzle.

Dislikes: Illegible figures, people littering the countryside.

Having joined us in 2024, Nikki has settled into her administration role seamlessly.  Sales having delivered your order overnight, Nikki will invoice you at our competitive rates . . . . and politely remind you if you haven’t paid!

When she’s not at her desk . . she’s an up and under girl supporting Hull FC Rugby.

Likes . . . Walking her staffy, escaping to the sun, learning to drive.
