MIKE HAW

After 12 years in the role of Sales and Operations Manager, Mike Haw retires at the end of June 2010.

Mike joined us from the Chemical Industry where his background as Production / Plant Director combined with his passion for clay shooting made him the ideal choice when David Bontoft was looking for an addition to the Team.

A keen FITASC competitor Mike was instrumental in the shot size colour coding of Sovereign and together with Factory Manager, Neil Hookem, developing the extreme range FITASC variant - at 1600 ft/second probably the fastest cartridge on the market today. The popularity of the Sovereign range grew and major titles rolled in as shooters recognised that with the consistency of the "kills" they probably had The Unfair Advantage shown on the Company's advertising slogan.

As lead prices soared Mike's idea of a lighter 21gm load, the first on the market, enabled shooters to practise with a cheaper alternative. The cartridge's down range energy combined with low recoil qualities has seen many shooting schools also adopt the specification for their training load.

Mike's involvement with Hull Cartridge will continue in the role of Consultant and he will represent the Company at shows and championships both at home and overseas. Look out for him at the World Sporting, Lakenheath, the World FITASC, Italy, the CLA Gamefair (July) and the British Open Sporting at Doveridge later in the year. Trade Export customers can catch up with him at the IWA Exhibition, Nuremberg March 2011.

The Directors would like to thank him for his hardwork, service and loyalty and wish him a long and happy retirement.
